Cold calling - don't buy it!
12 November 2012
A campaign to alert residents of the dangers of unwanted callers has been welcomed this week by Council Leader Ali Thomas.
National Consumer Week this year will target areas within the county borough that are particularly at risk from cold callers. This latest crackdown encourages people to say no to cold callers and look out for people in their own communities who might be at risk.
Trading standards staff will be delivering information to identified 'hotspots' within the county borough as well as giving talks to vulnerable groups about saying no to cold callers at their homes.
Councillor Thomas said, "I welcome this Campaign to alert residents to the dangers of unwelcome callers and we are committed to protecting households and making Neath Port Talbot a safer place in which to live".
