Afan Forest Park

Welcome to Afan Forest Park, home to one of the most beautiful valleys in South Wales.

Afan Forest Park covers an area of 11,000 hectares. Most of this is woodland and is part of the 30,000 hectare Valleys Forest, the largest urban forest in Europe. The Forest Park is a popular destination for walking, cycling, orienteering, camping and educational visits.

Nine waymarked walks and a long cycleway lead you to some breathtaking viewpoints. There are several paths with good surfaces and easy gradients that many families and disabled people can enjoy. We are also known across the world for our world class mountain bike trails.
