Submit a Plan
It is now possible for anyone with access to the internet to
submit applications to Neath Port Talbot Building Control
electronically.
LABC Submit-a-Plan complies with e-governance initiatives to
enable the delivery of local government services through the
Internet by enabling anyone with web access to complete, submit and
track the progress of their Building Regulation applications
online. Being on-line it means the application documents reach
their destination almost instantly.
All submissions are tracked and the customer is kept up to date
by email of the successful receipt of the application at the Local
Authority Building Control office. At this stage all significant
information is erased from the systems web servers ensuring that
confidentiality and security, one of the trademarks of Local
Authority Building Control are assured.
Local Authority Building Control Surveyors are then able to
check the application at their desks using the advanced tools,
built into the system. Problems or suggestions can be indicated on
the drawings using redlining tools and the results of the checks
emailed back to the customer with any suggested amendments.
At the same time consultations can be carried out with
Structural Engineers or with the Fire Brigade meaning that the
customer gets all of the answers at the same time.
