Safer Christmas
The Safer Neath Port Talbot Partnership have been busy with
their preparations for the festive period – decorating the streets
with colourful banners, offering time switches and low energy light
bulbs to the elderly and giving away drink spike detector kits to
see us safely through the party season.

The Partnership has also established an initiative with local
pubs where glasses are replaced with a polycarbonate alternative to
keep revellers safe at Christmas and throughout the year.
The success of the Community Safety Awareness Raising days in
Neath and Port Talbot Civic Centres could be attributed to the
tasty samosas and mince pies on offer. However the team would like
to think it was their enthusiasm and willingness to inform Council
Staff and passing members of the community about the range of
services the Partnership provide that made the days such a
success.
The hand and foot campaign heightens awareness of crime during
the festive season - reminding motorists about the importance of
leaving their vehicle safe and secure and prompting homeowners to
take certain crime prevention measures to ensure their home is not
at risk.
