Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre
The Visitor Centre which is run by Neath Port Talbot County
Borough Council acts as the ‘hub’ to the Forest Park. Offering
facilities such as; training/conference room, campsite (toilets and
showers), café (quality food at a reasonable cost), gift shop, bike
wash, cycle hire, two Beamer Trampers (Shop Mobility) and the South
Wales Miners’ Museum. The centre also includes an information
service, a first aid station and base for the Forest Park
Rangers.
From the Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre you
can start the popular ‘Penhydd’ and ‘The Wall’ mountain bike
trails, Nine circular scenic walks, access the Coed Morgannwg Walk,
a family puzzle trail, a 26 point orienteering course and access to
bridle paths.
The Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre and
surrounding area plays host to regular visits from schools whereby
Forestry Commission Wales provides an educational visit
service.

How to get there:
Situated on the A4107 - follow the road from the M4, Junction 40
for about 6 miles. Look out for the signs for Afan Forest Park
Visitor Centre.
