The Aberdulais Canal Basin and several miles of the Neath Town Centre have been restored from nearly 50 years of dereliction by the Neath and Tennant Canals Society and it is now navigable for canoes and small craft. The graceful Skew Bridge or Pont Gam marks the point of the Neath and Tennant Canals and nearby is the spectacular 340 foot ten arched Tennant Canal Aqueduct over the River Neath. The basin is ideal for picnicking and towpath walks lead both up and down the Neath Canal, with canoeing and small boating being allowed on the basin.
