Bryncoch / Caewern

These areas contain a mix of traditionally built dwelling types, including a sheltered housing complex in Twyn Teg. All properties are in a good state of repair and have a well maintained external environment. These estates are ideally situated with easy access to the M4 and the A465 “Heads of the Valleys” road.

Caewern has excellent facilities with a Post Office, Licensed store and Chinese takeaway all within the Estate. There is also a local Community Centre that hosts several activities to include toddler playgroups and old age groups, there are sporting activities held for example kickboxing classes. Caewern also has its own playing fields and a new play area for children. The housing estate in Waunceirch next to Caewern has a new Owen Glyndwr Community Centre that will hold a Youth Forum encouraging the youth of the area to become involved in positive activities such as concerts and crafts. Waunceirch Primary School is well established and in within walking distance of Caewern.

Theses estates are within a 5-10 minute drive from Neath Town Centre and also in the immediate vicinity is Neath Town Centre and Cwrt Herbert playing fields and Sports Centre.

Bryncoch is a picturesque village and is extremely popular in the Borough. There are two schools on the main road, Blaenhonddan Primary School and Ysgol Hendre Special School. The area has a well established bus route and two public houses. The estate links directly to Waunceirch and then into Caewern.
