Theatre

Neath Port Talbot comprises of three theatres, each one has it's unique style, character and programme.

We aim to provide a wide variety of arts, entertainment and participation to suit everyone. To find out more about us, what's on and book tickets, please see the links below.

Pontardawe Arts Centre

Pontardawe Arts Centre has built a reputation as one of the finest cultural venues in South Wales. The traditional theatre, with in-house cinema, offers something for everyone with high calibre professional events from classical music to world music and blues, dance and drama to children's theatre, and even nationally renowned comedians.

Princess Royal Theatre

The Princess Royal Theatre's impressive capacity and large stage has enabled it to host some of the highest profile events and artists to have visited the county. It has featured huge comedy names such as Frankie Boyle, Rhod Gilbert, and Alan Carr, as well as housing the Owen Money annual panto featuring Mike Doyle. The theatre has also become a reputable venue for stage productions of CITV children's shows.

Gwyn Hall

The Gwyn Hall has been a valued social and cultural centre for the Neath community. Following a fire in 2007, it is currently undergoing complete refurbishment and modernisation and will provide a contemporary and comprehensive service to its audience when it reopens, while maintaining its original beauty and heritage as one of the county's most treasured listed buildings.

The brand new venue will include:

Theatr Tymaen

A unique 200 seat amphitheatre set in the heart of Afan Forest Park. The wooded hillsides of the forest provide a natural backdrop for open-air performances.  Gently tucked into the hillside and protected on three sides by larch trees, green in summer, bronze in autumn, providing a gentle cushion of golden larch needles underfoot.
