Theatre
Neath Port Talbot comprises of three theatres, each one has it's
unique style, character and programme.
We aim to provide a wide variety of arts, entertainment and

Pontardawe Arts Centre has built a reputation
as one of the finest cultural venues in South Wales. The
traditional theatre, with in-house cinema, offers something for
everyone with high calibre professional events from classical music
to world music and blues, dance and drama to children's theatre,
and even nationally renowned comedians.
The Princess Royal Theatre's impressive
capacity and large stage has enabled it to host some of the highest
profile events and artists to have visited the county. It has
featured huge comedy names such as Frankie Boyle, Rhod Gilbert, and
Alan Carr, as well as housing the Owen Money annual panto featuring
Mike Doyle. The theatre has also become a reputable venue for stage
productions of CITV children's shows.
The Gwyn Hall has been a valued social and cultural centre for
the Neath community. Following a fire in 2007, it is currently
undergoing complete refurbishment and modernisation and will
provide a contemporary and comprehensive service to its audience
when it reopens, while maintaining its original beauty and heritage
as one of the county's most treasured listed buildings.
The brand new venue will include:

Theatr Tymaen
A unique 200 seat amphitheatre set in the heart of
Afan Forest Park. The wooded
hillsides of the forest provide a natural backdrop for open-air
performances. Gently tucked into the hillside and protected
on three sides by larch trees, green in summer, bronze in autumn,
providing a gentle cushion of golden larch needles underfoot.

Cinema
NPT Community Arts aims to bring the arts to the public in an
accessible way, by encouraging and nurturing creative activities
that will bring communities together, while providing them with the
opportunity to gain new skills and experiences.
