A Carer is a person who provides unpaid help on a regular basis to a relative, neighbour or friend who is unable to manage at home due to sickness, age or disability.   • Caring for someone with mental health problems 
  • Caring alone or sharing the task with others 
  • Sharing a home with the person you care for or living somewhere else.

Carers may help with things like dressing or bathing, as well as giving all kinds of practical and emotional support.
