How much do I pay?

  • The amount which you pay depends upon which valuation band your property is placed in and upon which community council area your property is situated.  See the full table of council tax levels for 2010/2011.
  • You Council Tax bill is made up of 3 elements:

    Council Tax bill elements
    Element Amount
Neath Port Talbot CBC £1,152.80 (+3.8%)
South Wales Police Authority £153.67 (+5.0%)
Community Council (some areas) £56.73 (av) (+2.1%)

The figures above are for Band D.  However, the bills for the majority of taxpayers in Neath Port Talbot are less than the Band D amount.
