Annual Report
From 1st April 2010, the Local Government (Wales)
Measure introduced a number of new legal duties upon the
Council.
The Council has a duty to produce two
annual reports which account for improvement. The first is
a ‘forward look’ – our Corporate Plan.
This report sets out what our key priorities for improvement are
over the next three years and how we are changing the way we do
things to ensure we continuously improve the services we deliver to
you and your communities.
The second is the Annual Report and
it gives a ‘backward look’, accounting for our overall performance
during the last financial year.
The report also identifies a wide range of improvements that we
have delivered over the past year and provides statistical
information on the Council’s performance in delivering services. We
have also provided a brief update on our initial progress in
delivering our key priorities for improvement during the current
financial year.
