Independent Reviewing Officer

Salary: £34,196.00 to £37,858.00

It's an exciting time in Children and Young People Services as we continue to make solid progress towards our aims of achieving quality, supporting families and effectively managing risk.

We are now at the stage where we are ready to undertake a further step-change and equip our whole service to embed quality assurance throughout its everyday activity. We have established a Performance, Quality and Practice Development team who will work closely with our Independent Reviewing Officers to drive this forward.

We are currently looking for one permanent Independent Reviewing Officer. Applicants must have at least 3 years post qualification and local government experience of working with families. Applicants are also required to have substantial post qualification practice to include working in child protection and the court arena, as well as significant experience of chairing meetings of a challenging nature.
