Neath Port Talbot Grants For Community Firework Displays

Following on from the success of last
year’s scheme, community groups can apply from August
2012 for this years grant scheme to organise
their firework displays and also receive help and advice on
safety at the event.
The Council’s Safety Advisory Group which is made up of the Fire
and Ambulance Services, South Wales Police and relevant council
officers, assessed each application carefully, against strict
criteria, to ensure that all risk assessment and appropriate
paperwork has been completed satisfactorily. Successful
applications will be notified at the end of September, and
will receive a grant from Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council
towards the cost of organising their own Guy Fawkes event.
