Fostering in Neath Port Talbot
Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council believes that every
child has a right to a family life. Fostering provides a positive
alternative for a child until they can return home.
Foster Carers in Neath Port Talbot are an essential part of the
service we provide to children, young people and their families.
The contribution made by all our foster carers is greatly valued
and appreciated.
The more foster carers we have, the more choices we can offer
children and their families. Foster care can last for days, months
or even, sometimes, years. Most children return home to their
families but others may be fostered long-term, adopted, placed in
residential care or are helped to move on to independent
living.
