Access to Meetings/Information
Most of the meetings of Council, together with the Cabinet,
Cabinet Committee and other Committee meetings, are open to the
public, as will be the reports to those meetings. The exception
under the "Access to Information" provisions will be those parts of
the meetings and reports where there will be the likely disclosure
of "exempt information", such as staffing matters, financial and
business affairs of people or companies with whom the Council has
dealings and matters relating to legal proceedings.
For details of the above meetings, please check the Public Notice
of each week's meetings on display at Neath and Port Talbot Civic
Centres, the Pontardawe 'One Stop Shop', or access our
Schedule of
Meetings.
Agendas and Public Reports are open to inspection at the Chief
Executive's Directorate, Port Talbot Civic Centre during normal
office hours.
The Council's Constitution sets out the public rights to attend
meetings and to inspect and copy documents (taken from the Local
Government Act 1972).
Alternatively, you may contact the
Committee/Member Services
Manager for any advice about meetings and the Access to Information
provisions.
