Intertrading
The Economic Development Unit has forged strong links with
Swansea, Carmarthenshire, Cork, Sundsvall (Sweden) and Arhus
(Denmark) as part of the 'Trading Link' initiative, as part of the
Swansea Bay Partnership. Swansea Bay Partnership is a regular
participant in the annual Futurallia international business
development forum, where companies from across the Carmarthenshire,
Swansea and Neath Port Talbot areas have met with companies from 40
countries worldwide.

Intertrading Event: Poitiers June 2007
Neath Port Talbot accompanied a delegation of local SMEs and
representatives of the Swansea Bay Partnership, in partnership with
International Business Wales, to the International Development
Forum Futurallia Fair in Poitiers, Western France. 6 Swansea Bay
companies were supported and attended the high profile Business
Forum, meeting with companies from 40 countries worldwide.
Following the success of previous participation in this event,
Swansea Bay Partnership is now seeking companies who wish to take
part in the next Futurallia event in 2008, which will take place in
Quebec, Canada.

Intertrading Event: Sundsvall 9th-12th Nov 2005
Neath Port Talbot companies joined a delegation of 12
Swansea Bay companies and representatives from the Swansea Bay
Partnership in a successful first visit to Futurallia, the
International Business Development Forum.
Canspa LTD, Seven Oaks Joinery LTD and
Quantum CAD LTD attended the
10th Futurallia, running from 1st to 3rd June 2005 in Wallonia,
Belgium, a multi sector ‘match-making' event for SMEs.

It was Swansea Bay's turn to hose a 'Trading Link' event. Click

Two intertrading events took place in 2003, where
representatives from each Local Authority and from local companies,
came together to meet prospective suppliers and clients from each
region.
