Welcome to the Council's Licensing pages.
The main purpose of the licensing service is to protect the health, safety and welfare of persons who may be affected by a licensed activity.
The majority of the licensing functions of the authority are the responsibility of the licensing division and these are outlined here.
The aim of the licensing division is to provide an efficient and cost effective licensing service, and also to monitor licensed persons or premises to ensure compliance with licence requirements.
