The park has two trampers for hire at only £1 per hour (with a £10 deposit being payable). The all terrain buggies mean that people with disabilities have the opportunity to explore and enjoy the park's unique surroundings.

The Margam Festival continued with The Film Harmonic Orchestra Concert for Schools held at The Princess Royal Theatre. Conducted by Griff Harries, the orchestra entertained a capacity audience of local schoolchildren and featured music from popular films including Harry Potter, Superman and The Wizard of Oz. Compere for the event was entertainer Kevin Johns.

A 'Strictly Dancing' evening with the Phil Dando Big Band featured on the third night of the Margam Festival. Guests were also treated to a dance demonstration by professional guest dancers and were entertained on arrival at The Orangery by the Liberty Street Jazz Band who were playing in the grounds of the park.

The poor weather didn't deter a team of volunteers from planting trees in Margam Country Park over the past week. The Neath Port Talbot and Vale of Glamorgan Youth Services jointly organised an exchange visit of teenagers with a youth service from Carlow in Southern Ireland. The exchange was designed to tackle racism and prejudice.
