Portal
We also link to the National Planning Portal, which is part of the
common vision for improving the planning process in England and
Wales. The Planning Portal provides guidance and information about
making planning applications, as well as resources for study and
research.
The main parts of the Planning Portal are:
- Guide - The Guide section offers a brief
introduction to the planning system and some explanation of what
planning is for and why it is important to us all.
- Apply - Create a planning application and send
it electronically, or download the form to fill in at your
leisure.
- Appeal - If your application isn't decided
within a set period, or you get a decision from your local council
that you disagree with, you have a right to appeal.
- Plans - Learn more about Plans affecting your
application including, your Local Development Plan (LDP) and
Unitary Development Plan (UDP).
- Research - The Policy & Research section of
the Portal is aimed at planning professionals and those with an
in-depth interest in planning policy and reform.
