Every year, the Council has to publish a Plan which sets out the Council’s priorities for improvement and how we are changing the way we do things to ensure we continue to improve the services we deliver to you and our communities.
This year, the Plan had to take into account, new Welsh Government legislation: The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act, 2015.
Requirements of the Act place a duty on the Council to set and publish well-being objectives, which show how we intend to improve the well-being of people in Neath, Port Talbot and Pontardawe and to carry out sustainable development.
Annual Report (Part 2)
The Council is obliged to report each year through its Annual Report on the extent to which the well-being objectives set out in its Corporate Plan have been achieved. The Annual Report meets the duties set out in the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2009 and the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
This Annual Report provides an account of progress over the period 1st October 2017- 31st March 2018 on the well-being objectives set out in its Corporate Plan.
