We will actively engage with our customers to provide high quality pre-application advice on all development proposals, offering an individual service with the primary aim of ‘Delivering Quality Sustainable Drainage Systems for Development Quickly’.
SuDS Approving Body
The Council’s approach to Sustainable Drainage Systems looks to place significant importance upon the provision of the best possible advice to a potential developer/applicant before and/or during a formal planning application is submitted.With effect from 1st November 2018
, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council will be offering a pre-application service for its new duty as a SAB under Schedule 3 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.
Please note that a charge of £250
(including VAT) is made for this service from 1st November 2018 and is to be implemented for new developments which are likely to be submitted after the 7th January 2019.
As part of the initial discussions any information submitted must contain:
- Flow routes
- Discharge points
- Contour plan
The ‘SAB Pre-Application Service Protocol’ is intended to proactively represent the Councils service statement in respect of all pre-application services offered, chargeable or otherwise, and not only sets out the charging regime, but also details the level of information which should be submitted and the quality of response that is to be expected when engaging with the Council in pre-application discussions.
