A major part of the Working with Nature project is community engagement and raising awareness and developing the relationships between communities and residents with their local wild spaces.
A lot of time is spent organising, promoting and running events within our wild and nature areas throughout NPT. These events include crafting events (willow weaving, green woodworking, felting etc.), forest connections, bushcraft events (fire starting, shelter building etc.) and educational and nature based events (training, nature walks, BioBlitz, surveys etc.).
As an event’s assistant, you’d help promote these events within your local area prior to the event, and during the event, you would be on hand to help provide refreshments (tea and coffee), support participants and promote nature and the project.
You’d be an ambassador for nature and the benefits we get from spending time immersed in our natural environment and helping to encourage and support our participants whatever their background.
You would be playing an important role in promoting the amazing wildlife and nature sites of NPT and would be in a position to develop your skills and knowledge to become a more natural outdoor leader.
