Consultation Report - Proposal to establish an English-medium 3-11 school to replace Alltwen, Godre’rgraig and Llangiwg Primary schools
On 30th November 2022, the Council’s Cabinet determined to consult on the proposal to establish an English-medium 3-11 school to replace Alltwen, Godre’rgraig and Llangiwg primary schools, with a learning support centre (LSC) for up to 16 pupils with statements for Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The consultation period ran from 5th December 2022 to 7th February 2023. A list of consultees is included at Appendix A. This consultation report summarises the issues raised by consultees during the consultation period. It responds to these by means of clarification and commentary, with supporting reasons.
This report needs to be read alongside the consultation document, ‘Proposal to establish an English-medium 3-11 school to replace Alltwen, Godre’rgraig and Llangiwg primary schools, all of which will be discontinued on 31st August 2025.
