Unless there is a significant reduction in cases of coronavirus before 29 January – the date of the next three-week review of the regulations – school and college students will continue to learn online until the February half term.  More information is available on Schools here

Payment for week commencing 11th January will be paid into your nominated bank account on 11th January - this will cover up to 18th January 2021.

Household Waste Recycling Centres remain open. You must have booked a slot before you visit Briton Ferry or Cymmer recycling centres


Refuse and recycling collections will continue.

All toilets that have been open will remain open with appropriate signs and social distancing in place.

These include: 

  • Aberavon Seafront (Main) (8.30am-6.30pm),
  • Afan Forest Country Park (During Opening hours).
  • Angel Falls (8am – 6pm),
  • Gnoll Country Park,
  • Margam Country Park (During opening hours)
  • Pontardawe (8am – 6pm),
  • Port Talbot Bus Station (New opening times 8am – 6pm),
  • Resolven (7.30am-6.30pm),
  • Victoria Gardens, Neath - (access from bus station side only) (8am – 6pm),


Yes cemeteries remain open. But you should ensure that you maintain social distancing when visiting.

In line with Welsh Government regulations, NPTCouncil parks and playgrounds will remain open but Welsh Govt advice is that the nearer you stay to your home, the better.

Your exercise should start and finish from your home and you should exercise alone or with a member of your household or support bubble.
