Correspondence - Due to the current Covid-19 situation, all NPT Children’s Social Services and Gateway Referral Team employees are currently working from home. To enable this we are requesting that all relevant correspondence previously sent by post is now emailed to spoc@npt.gov.uk

NPT Safe and Well – This is a free service to support vulnerable residents who have been told to self-isolate and don’t have any support from family, friends or neighbours. The service can arrange for a trusted volunteer to help with daily living tasks such as food shopping, collecting medical supplies, posting mail and any other reasonable tasks. All the volunteers will have proof of identity and will not ask for any money or bank details. To access the service contact Neath Port Talbot Council on 01639 686868.

Hospital discharges - We are continuing to work closely with the NHS in assisting with the discharge from hospital of patients who are able to go home.

Vulnerable residents - Plans are in place to protect our most vulnerable residents. In order to safeguard both those who receive care services and staff, necessary changes have been made to the services we deliver.

Day care services & respite services - In accordance with government guidelines on social distancing, all day services and respite services will be temporarily closed from Friday 20th March.  Those who receive care services have been asked to call on additional support from friends, family and carers.

Welfare Rights – If you require benefit advice, please contact 01639 685225 and leave a message. The team will be picking messages up regularly and ringing people back.

Our staff - To ensure the department’s most critical services are supported, staff have been asked to be flexible in the roles they undertake and will be temporarily redeployed where necessary.
