Everyone has the right to live in safety, free from abuse
Safeguarding is everyone’s business. It is about protecting children and adults from abuse. Its primary aim is to ensure children and adults enjoy good health, develop well and can play a full and active role in their communities. Abuse can take place anywhere: in a family and outside of the family. It can be committed by anyone, including people in a position of trust.
Everyone has the right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. If you think a child or adult is in immediate danger always call the emergency services on 999.
