Safer Brighter Futures
NPTs Children's Improvement Programme
'Safer Brighter Futures' is Neath Port Talbot's Children's Improvement Programme. It has been developed to address the specific areas of improvement identified through a report by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSiW) in November 2012.
Neath Port Talbot Council has a long standing reputation for making a solid commitment to social services and there is strong political and corporate support for the improvement work that we want to take forward. We also enjoy strong and productive relationships with a diverse range of local agencies who share a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people through our high performing children and young people’s partnership.
In April 2015, following an inspection by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSiW), it was announced that the Serious Concerns protocol has been lifted.
