Superfast Cymru Broadband

Residents and Businesses in Neath Port Talbot are amongst the first in Wales to benefit from the pioneering multimillion pound programme Superfast Cymru, bringing nationwide fibre broadband to Wales

Fibre broadband is the next generation of broadband - much faster, more reliable and it uses a different technology.

Whilst traditional broadband is delivered via copper telephone lines, fibre broadband uses fibre optic cable.

This will have the power to transform the life, work and play of citizens across Neath Port Talbot.  What's more, Superfast broadband will boost the economy locally, enabling businesses to work more effectively in new ways and reach out to new customers.

Superfast broadband

Fibre is available in areas of Briton Ferry, Neath, Port Talbot, Amman Valley, Cymmer, Glynneath, Pontardawe and Seven Sisters.  Other communities including Crynant, Resolven and Skewen will follow in the Spring of 2016.

If you don’t have broadband today, you might want to consider what it can do for you. Examples include, applying for public services, gaining new skills, getting the best deals through online shopping and saving on trips to the bank by using your bank’s online services. So many things are possible on line.

Superfast broadband is not just about a faster Internet experience or about doing one thing quicker. It’s about everyone in the house being able to do their own thing online, all at the same time.  Anything is possible with a superfast connection.
