Premises Licence

Where an individual or company proposes to offer gambling for which an operating licence is required, and which is premises based, that individual or company will also need to apply for a premises licence.

A premises licence is required to authorise the provision of facilities on:

  • casino premises
  • bingo premises
  • betting premises, including tracks
  • adult gaming centres premises (premises that offer gaming machines of high stakes and prizes which are restricted to persons over 18 years of age)
  • family entertainment centres (premises that offer a mixture of gaming machines for persons who are both over and under 18 years of age)
