Description

I’m a lady in my 50s living the Pontardawe area with my family and pet dog. I have a visual impairment and some mobility difficulties. I can walk over some distances but do use a wheelchair over longer days out. I’m interested in art, cinema and keeping fit. I do a range of artistic projects and have won awards. I enjoy swimming and do hydrotherapy during the week. I also like to visit art galleries, go to festivals and love a variety of cultural events.

Purpose

  • Helping me to attend my appointments i.e. hydrotherapy
  • Assisting me with my personal shopping
  • Some support with dressing
  • Taking me to activities I enjoy.
  • Assisting me with my correspondence and computer work
  • Assisting me with my art and photography projects.
  • Helping me to do my gardening
  • Any other relevant duties

Person Type

A person who:

  • Essential that the person is competent with IT
  • Is friendly, approachable and has a good sense of humour
  • Someone who is interested in arts and culture
  • Someone able to work flexibly
  • Someone who is reliable and a good timekeeper
  • Someone creative who can help me with different projects
  • Car driver with access to their own vehicle essential
  • Female preferred due to personal care tasks

Hours

7 hours a week.

Employer is flexible on days and hours overall, although PA must be flexible to attend hospital appointments when required. 

Additional holiday hours may be offered.
