The Duke of Edinburghs Award(D of E) has been running for over 50 years and is widely regarded as the leading achievement award for young people in the UK. Young people are required to complete a number of sections to gain a D of E including undertaking voluntary work, doing regular physical activity, learning a new skill and completing an expedition. Young people can choose activities for these sections themsleves to ensure they are doing activities they will enjoy and gain maximum benefit from. Through taking part in the D of E young people learn a range of essential skills, meet new people, help in thier communities and have a lot of fun along the way.
To do a D of E award you need to be part of an organisation that delivers it such as a school or youth club. If you cant find an organisation then please contact us for help.
