Oh no! Santa’s candy canes have mysteriously disappeared – and without them, his sleigh won’t have enough Christmas cheer to take off on Christmas Eve!
He’s calling on all little helpers across Neath, Port Talbot and Pontardawe to join the Candy Cane Trail and help track them down. Follow the clues, hunt for the hidden letters, and piece together the magic word that will give Santa’s sleigh the power it needs to deliver presents around the world.
Grab a trail sheet, wrap up warm, and get ready for a festive family adventure through your local town centre - full of sparkle, surprises, and sweet Christmas fun!
How to get involved
From 21st November until 20th December 2025, follow the steps below to take part in Neath Port Talbot Council’s Candy Cane Trail!
- Pick up your Candy Cane Trail activity sheet from your local library in Pontardawe, Neath or Port Talbot.
- Follow the clues to find locations around the town and keep an eye out for the letters on candy canes near the entrance, or further inside.
- Solve the magic word using the letters you’ve found on the candy canes.
Once you’ve uncovered the magic word, head back to the library you started at, pop your activity sheet in the post box with your details on to send back to Santa, and collect your sweet treat!
