Social Work Jobs - Children & Young People Services

Current job vacancies

Our Children and Young People Services (CYPS) is regarded as one of the leading performers in Wales for our work in achieving positive outcomes for children, young people and their families as well as safely reducing the numbers of care experienced children in Neath Port Talbot.

You’ll be joining a team of experienced social work practitioners, support workers and other professionals who are committed to doing the best they can for the children, young people and families we work alongside using bespoke, creative, and outcome-focused plans.

Our Vision

We believe that children’s needs are best met by their own families if this can be safely supported. We work closely with families, carers, professionals, and communities in order to make a difference to people’s wellbeing and to give children and young people the best start in life. Through building relationships and trust, we hope to hear what’s really going on in people’s lives. We want to give people the confidence to believe that things can change for the better. We focus on building on people’s strengths and developing a shared understanding of what a good life can look like and how we can help families work towards this.

You can read more about how we practice here: A strengths-based model of practice (this is Outcomes Focussed Practice)
