Lost Peatlands Volunteer Day - Tree Removal and Sphagnum Planting - Pen Y Cymoedd Windfarm
Tue 13 Aug 2024 10:00Help to manage and protect these globally significant peatlands habitats. You'll also get a tour of local bogs and an overview of our work.
Join us for a day in the uplands where we'll offer education on peatlands whilst also contributing in efforts to conserve these important habitats.
'Bog Bus' will guide volunteers around various sites where you'll receive information on our work as well as the opportunity to get stuck in. Conifer tree removal and sphagnum planting are the typical tasks required.
Please be aware that this volunteer day will take place in difficult terrain under potentially tough conditions. Full PPE can be provided but a good level of physical ability is required if you wish to partaker in volunteer activities.

Equipment required:
Outdoor Clothing and Solid Supportive and Waterproof Footwear (all PPE can be provided upon request).
Lunch (warm drinks and light refreshments will be provided, as well as toilet facilities).
