Daubenton's Bat

Daubenton’s bats specialise in feeding over water. They have particularly large feet which they use to grab insects off the surface of the water. Roosts tend to be in trees or bridges but always near water.

Because of their feeding habit it is easy to see them on a still night as they fly just above the surface of a river or lake.

Best spot = The Gnoll Country Park lake
