What is the Wellbeing Fund?

The Lucky Fridays Lottery rules provide for up to 20% of the lottery income to be set aside in a wellbeing fund. The Wellbeing Fund may then be used by the Executive Committee of the NPT Health and Wellbeing Group to fund initiatives that benefit the wellbeing of the Group’s members.

A list of current wellbeing initiatives in place are as follows:

Perkz

This is a discount scheme available to everyone who is a member of the NPT Health and Wellbeing Group. Perkz offers discounts off over 400 high street retailers.

You register for the scheme by visiting the website.

You will need your NPT Health and Wellbeing membership number when you register, NOT your pay number. This will have been e-mailed or texted to you when you first applied to join the NPT Health and Wellbeing Group. If you have forgotten your membership number, then just e-mail Luckyfridays@npt.gov.uk  and we will confirm your number back to you.

Cinema nights

We purchase private screenings and discounted tickets at local cinemas of popular films from time to time. Not only do you get a great discount on your cinema ticket, but there is a great deal included too on drinks and food.

NPTHWG Member’s Funding Application

Members of NPT Health & Wellbeing Group are entitled to funding for an initiative or activity that will promote the wellbeing of the groups members.

When your application is received and processed at the Lucky Fridays office, you will receive an email or text message confirming:

  • Your form has been processed and providing your Membership number.
  • Registration with any wellbeing scheme in operation at the time your membership is processed
  • (If you have asked to join the Lucky Fridays Lottery) the date you will be entered for your first draw.

If you have provided us with a personal email address you will also receive an invite to join our closed Facebook page where you will get up to date information about our weekly draws as well as information about health and wellbeing initiatives.

Please note that forms will normally need to be received and processed by the 5th of each month in order for your membership subscriptions to begin in that month’s payroll. If you miss the deadline your form will be processed the following month. Special arrangements may be made for Christmas.

Participants will pay a month in advance and four weeks' notice will be required to withdraw from the Group.

Once your membership is approved, you can enjoy the benefits straight away.

Funding criteria

  • Applications will only be considered by the Panel if they benefit more than one member.
  • Applications must promote the wellbeing of members listed in the application form.
  • Applications will only be considered by the Panel if they are part funding an initiative up to the value of £50 (applications exceeding this amount will have to be considered by the Executive Committee).
