  • DPSS704 - Personal Assistant - 13 hours per week - Aberdulais

    I am a 19 year old man living within the aberdulais area of Neath. I have learning difficulties and autism. I am non-verbal however I can use basic words to communicate my needs.

    No personal care is required, but I may require assistance with my appearance when out within the community. I am a social butterfly and I am very happy go lucky and enjoy lots of laughter. I enjoy going to the beach, bowling, cinema, Margam Park. I love dancing and music. I am currently still in school, preferably after school outings and some weekends to support me to socialise within the community and keep me safe at all times due to myself having no sense of danger.

    13 hours per week (Flexible) days to be discussed at Interview

  • DPSS739 - Personal Assistant - Blaengwynfi - 6 hours *FLEXIBLE*

    I am a lady in my late 30’s from the Blaengwynfi area of Port Talbot. I have had a stroke which has left me with left sided weakness. Before my stroke I used to go out and enjoy walks, however, I am now permanently in a wheelchair, though I do enjoy being taken out on a walk. I have a good sense of humour. I enjoy watching a bit of everything on TV.

    6 hours per week. 

    I am very flexible with days and times, we can discuss this during interview. 

  • DPSS257 - Personal Assistant - Margam - 6 hours per week

    I am a young man in my 20s living in the Margam area with my dad.  I am a very active young man and like to keep busy. I love meeting people and am very sociable, even though I’m non-verbal I can still communicate what I want to you. I enjoy going to a day service and enjoy going on public transport, especially for a ride around on the bus. When I’m at home I enjoy playing games on my computer and iPad. I have a 3-wheeled bike that I like to ride regularly. I enjoy going to parks and visiting The Gnoll and Margam Park. I have an interest in buses and like to visit the Bus Museum and Swansea Bus Station. I do not like loud noises i.e., hand dryers, vacuuming, mowing, power tools and motorbikes. I’m looking for a PA to join my team and pick up the evening shifts so my dad can get on with chores like making dinner. 

     

    6 hours per week

    Monday, Wednesday and Friday 5pm – 7pm

    Exact start times can be flexible and negotiated at interview.

    Some additional hours may be offered from time to time to cover my other PA; these hours will normally be on a weekend.

  • DPSS713 - Personal Assistant - 8.5 hours - Pontardawe

    I am a 19 year old man living in the Pontardawe area. I have a huge interest in online gaming and would like to become a successful live streamer. I previously used to train with the Ospreys for wheelchair rugby. I am looking for a PA to support me to go swimming (including changing), going for food and to access the community so I can meet people of a similar age. The PA will also be required to push my wheelchair, support with transfers and drive my mobility car. 

    8.5 hours per week to be worked as:

    2 x 4hr 15 min sessions (this can be flexible).

    Days and times are flexible and to be mutually agreed at interview.

  • DPSS299 - Personal Assistant - Glynneath - 14 hours per week (job share welcome)

    I am a elderly disabled man living in the Glynneath area. I am an easy-going individual. I like TV and my computer.

    I am unable to maintain my body temperature and therefore need to be kept warm and I use a coal fire to do this.

    I am looking for 2 or more PA’s to support me at home.

    DRIVING LICENCE NOT REQUIRED

    14 hours over 7 days.

    Mon to Sun - 2 hours per day from 10:00 to 11:00 and 14:00 to 15:00 (there is flexibility of 20 mins with the PM call).

    Some flexibility will be required as you may be asked to cover from time to time.

  • DPSS340 - Personal Assistant - 5 hrs per week - Rhyd-Y-Fro

    I’m a lady in my 30s living in quite a rural area of Pontardawe. My home is approximately 5 miles from Pontardawe cross and is accessed via a country lane. I live with my mum, pet dogs and cats. I am a wheelchair user when out and about. I have epilepsy and experience seizures daily. I am a classically trained singer and I love music, nature, photography art and attending choirs and social groups. I also help to run a social group. I am also a Welsh speaker.

    CAR DRIVER IS ESSENTIAL

    5 hours per week – possibly increasing to more.

    Hours to be used in the evenings or on the weekends as 2.5 hours each. Days and times flexible.

     

  • DPSS602 - Personal Assistant - 20 hours per week - Cimla

    A lady in her 40’s requires a PA to help enable her to access the local community. The lady also requires support at home with toileting, washing and dressing. She has a rare condition which means she is incredibly fragile and requires a PA to be very gentle with her. She loves watching films both at home and at the cinema, listening to music, chatting and socialising. She also really enjoys a game of bingo at coffee morning! She is chronically ill and will get confused on times. Someone who can drive will be preferred. 

    Please note: this lady has a very small stature and is approximately the size of a 6 year old.

    10 hours to be worked flexibly as 2 x 5 hours over a Tues, Wed or Sunday.

    10 hours to be worked as 5 hours on Saturday and 5 hours on a Monday. 

    Sunday can be an option instead for one of the days, as we are flexible.

  • DPSS717 - Personal Assistant - 5.5 hours - Margam

    I am a gentle and friendly man with a mild to moderate learning disability which affects my understanding of the world around me. This year I will be turning 60. For many years I lived in an adult family placement, but I have now moved to a supported living home where I am very happy and settled. I maintain contact each week with my mother who resides in residential care home. I have many likes, including going to the pub, playing skittles, using public transport and watching and purchasing various DVDs. I have good verbal skills and like chatting to a variety of people.

    5.5 hours on a Friday but the day can be flexible. 

  • DPSS719 - Personal Assistant - 3 hours per week - Ystalyfera

    I am a funny, and energetic  7 year old girl, who enjoys active play and music, I have limited vocabulary but this is developing quickly, I love the outdoors and like to run around in play parks. I love the outdoors and enjoy going for walks. I would like a PA to ensure my mum has a break.

    3 hours per week after school on a Tuesday/Wednesday/or Thursday to be discussed at interview

  • DPSS720 - Personal Assistant - 10 hours per week - Baglan

    I am described as easy-going, relaxed, and happy to engage in a range of community activities. I am a 36 year old Male and I live in Baglan. I have a diagnosis of Autistic spectrum disorder and a learning disability, I also have epilepsy. I feel I need positive and upbeat people around me to support me to have a good day and create a balanced sense of well-being which then supports my mental health. I can at times suffer from low mood, which exacerbates behaviours. I also need a PA to support me with structured routines. I enjoy a good laugh and having fun. 

    10 HOURS PER WEEK 5 HOURS ON A TUESDAY AND 5 HOURS ON A THURSDAY
