The Toy Library

Who can borrow toys?

The Service is available to registered childcare providers in Neath Port Talbot County Borough – Playgroups (Welsh and English), Parent & Toddler Groups, After School Clubs, Childminders and Foster Carers. The Toy Library also lends to Partner Agencies and schools via ELRS.

The aim of the Toy Library is to provide a FREE toy loan facility to enable children to have access to stimulating play which will enhance all aspects of their development.

A recent evaluation of the service stated:

“…… I feel I should commend the helpfulness and flexibility of the staff.  All are knowledgeable, considerate and approachable in delivering a key service to enhance play opportunities throughout Neath Port Talbot.”

How do I join the Toy Library?  

A membership form has to be completed and returned to the Toy Library before toys can be borrowed. Members are welcome to visit the toy Library to select and collect toys. Please telephone to make an appointment.

How many toys can I borrow?

Playgroups, parent and toddler groups and Out of School Clubs can borrow 4 toys. Childminders can borrow 2 toys. However, more toys can be borrowed at the discretion of the Toy Library Staff.
