I am a lady in my 50s living in the Caewern area of Neath. I am an outgoing and sociable person who enjoys taking my dog out for walks, shopping and going to the cinema. I’m looking for a PA to join my team of staff to cover absences. I have support with most daily tasks to stay in my own home. I enjoy the time I spend with my PAs. The post is temporary but it’s likely that I’ll regularly have work for you in future.
Purpose
- Support with meal preparation including preparing and cooking healthy meals from scratch.
- Assisting me to access social activities.
- Driving my wheelchair accessible vehicle.
- Using a ceiling a track hoist.
- Support with personal care.
- Helping me with my medication
- Light domestic duties such as dusting, laundry and ironing
- Any other reasonable duties
Person Type
A person who:
- Is flexible and able to cover the other PAs I have working for me.
- Likes dogs as I have a small, friendly dog.
- Can drive and is willing to drive my car.
- Is honest, reliable, and punctual.
- Someone who will treat me and my home with dignity and respect.
- Has experience of undertaking manual handling tasks (preferable as training will be offered.
- Has experience of supporting with personal care is (preferable as training is available)
Hours
Hours of Work: 20 hours per week
Exact days and times can be discussed at interview.

This post may require a DBS check (the cost of which will be met by NPTCBC). If this post requires you to work with children then it is compulsory for you to have a DBS check prior to commencement.
If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.
Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.
You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.
You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
