Vacancy Details
Description
I am a 27 man living in the Baglan area with my family, cats and dog.
I am very quiet and would like a PA to help me build my confidence and support me to access the community to do the things I enjoy. I experience Catatonia, which means I am mostly non-verbal, and will nod/ shake my head, and use texts to communicate with you. Over a long time, and once I have gotten to know you, I may speak to you verbally. I can also experience episodes of being “frozen” to the spot. The PA will need to have an awareness of Catatonia and be able to support me with this. I can also become withdrawn and in a low mood.
I enjoying watching wrestling, going on the bus, crazy golf, bowling, quad biking, gaming, playing pool, going for food, to the gym, swimming and for a walk (not too far). I love Marvel and going to the Cinema. I would like a PA to support me with these and with possibly attending community groups such as Gardening, Travel Training and Social Groups.
The PA will need to support me with managing my money when out, and with using the toilet and continence aid changes if needed. The PA may also need to support me with meal preparation specific to my diet, and help me develop “life skills” such as cooking at home. The PA will need to undergo First Aid training as I am at high risk of choking.
I do not need a walking aid, but I will need to PA to risk assess the area to ensure my safety.
