We are looking for an innovative and committed Deputy Team Manager to be part of our community team in Port Talbot. This role is your chance to create a positive impact on the lives of children, young people, and families in need.

As a Deputy Team Manager, you will help to lead our Port Talbot Community Children’s Team with dedication, compassion and purpose. You will support the Team Manager in delivering a caring and supportive service to children and families, promote a positive relationship with our partners in the community, support staff development, help to mentor team members and promote our vision of creating a warm and welcoming environment for the children and families we support.

Our vision is to create a welcoming family hwb which will encourage the community and families to feel safe and relaxed at our community facility. We are looking for someone who is keen to get involved in community projects which aim to help support families with basic building blocks such as good housekeeping, school routines and other areas that can sometimes be a struggle. The aim is to provide preventative work alongside safeguarding practice. We are keen to welcome a Deputy Team Manager who will bring new ideas and have an interest in working in a multi-agency approach to help support families.

At Neath Port Talbot, we pride ourselves on our innovative and forward-thinking approach. We adapt to change, embrace flexibility, and strive for sustainable solutions for children and families. Our bespoke, creative, and outcome-focused plans aim to improve the wellbeing of families, giving them the best start in life. With one of the lowest caseloads in the country, our strong and stable team structures ensure that you will have the support you need to succeed.

We offer a comprehensive induction program, regular supervision, and ongoing training and development opportunities. Our competitive salary and generous terms and conditions include 25 days of annual leave (rising to 32 days after 5 years of continuous service), plus 2 extra days at Christmas, a pension scheme, and a sick pay scheme. You'll also enjoy discounted membership rates at our brand-new multi-million-pound leisure facility, which includes access to gyms, swimming pools, fitness classes, and a health suite.
