DPSS679 - Personal Assistant - 4 hours per week - Neath

I am a 25 year old male who lives within the Neath area. I really enjoy my gaming but I also like to get out of the house into the community. I like to play pool, go bowling and I also enjoy the cinema going for a McDonalds and general socialisation within the community

I can be quiet but when you get to know me and my confidence builds, I am very loving and have a wicked sense of humour. When I trust you l then feel l can strive as a person. I will require support to build my confidence and independence within the home and in the community. I would like to have support with cooking, getting in to routines, supporting me to follow a journey, and managing public transport. I will also require support to help me find ways to problem solve .I need to focus on one thing at a time. Although I can be anxious and find it difficult to talk to new people, I will value the support form a Personal Assistant to help me manage this and grow my confidence building skills.

4 hours per week. A Monday or a Tuesday to discuss at interview 12 to 4pm

DPSS287 - (COVER) Personal Assistant - Baglan - 22 hours per week

I am a 60 year old man living in Baglan with my three large but friendly dogs. I am chatty and friendly with a big personality. I have osteoarthritis in my spine, which can affect my mobility, but regular moving and exercise helps with this. I also have a brain injury due to an accident, which can affect my memory. I am very outdoorsy and enjoy walking my three dogs, gardening and doing DIY around the home. I have my own workshop at home where I do woodturning. I also like going out for coffee and other activities.

I am looking for a COVER PA to support by prompting me on tasks around the home, support me with my gardening, DIY and woodturning. The PA would support me when out walking the dogs. The PA will be required to drive my mobility car so I can access the community and go for coffee. The PA will promote my independence and doing things with me, not for me.

22 hours a week. Days and times to be discussed.

DPSS621 - Personal Assistant - 8 hours per week - Port Talbot

I am a 34 year old lady living in central Port Talbot. I have hearing loss, but I can hear OK when I’m wearing my hearing aids. I am also partially sighted, as I have no peripheral vision, suffer with blind spots and my eyes take a long time to adjust in going between light and dark environments. This can cause me to become anxious in new places. I use a white cane when I’m out, but I can manage in a familiar environment.

I am shy at first but will become chattier when you get to know me.

I am looking for a PA to support me to go shopping, go for a walk and access socialising groups during the week. On the weekend, the PA will support me in taking my young son out to activities and places that he will enjoy.

8 hours a week to be used as:

1 ½ hours on a Monday & on a Thursday from 12:00 onward

5 hours on a Saturday from 10:00 onward.

With a view to be flexible with times however days are as shown above. Discuss at interview.

DPSS392 - Personal Assistant - Sandfields - 6 hours per week

I am a 15 year old girl living in the Sandfields area.  I enjoy going trampolining and socialising/going out. I also enjoy going to the cinema and swimming. I am very sociable and enjoy music and dancing.  I have some sensitivity to noise, so would need some reassurance and distractions in these situations.

6 hours per week

Days and times are flexible, however, I am unable to commit to a Monday and every other weekend. 

DPSS312 - Personal Assistant - Margam - between 5 and 16 hours per week

I am a 64-year-old man living in Margam. I have Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. I also have a slight sensory impairment and speech impediment. I am able to walk short distances but use a wheelchair when out for long periods. I am very sociable and love to be out and about. I enjoy watching football on telly and going to see Swansea City play. I enjoy bowling, going to the cinema and out with social groups. I also try to go to the gym.

I am looking for a COVER PA to support me while my current PA’s are off. Job share welcome.

Cover from 08th September to 10th November 2025. (8 weeks in total).

Days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and hours to be discussed. (Day time cover).

There is a degree of flexibility and you can work anything from 5 hours per week to 16 hours per week. 

DPSS536 - Personal Assistant - 10 hours per week over 2 days - Baglan

I am an easy going and laid back man in my 50’s living in the Baglan area. I have mobility difficulties and am not able to use my legs or raise my arms. I play wheelchair rugby for the Ospreys and also coach the team. I enjoy shopping, gardening, exercising and have my own swimming pool at home. My independence is very important to me.

10 hours per week to work over 2 days which are flexible for the following hours;

08:00am to 11.30am

4.00pm to 5.30pm

9.00pm – 9.30pm.

This could be during the week or on the weekend.

DPSS299 - Personal Assistant - Glynneath - 14 hours per week (job share welcome)

I am a elderly disabled man living in the Glynneath area. I am an easy-going individual. I like TV and my computer.

I am unable to maintain my body temperature and therefore need to be kept warm and I use a coal fire to do this.

I am looking for 2 or more PA’s to support me at home.

DRIVING LICENCE NOT REQUIRED

14 hours over 7 days.

Mon to Sun - 2 hours per day from 10:00 to 11:00 and 14:00 to 15:00 (there is flexibility of 20 mins with the PM call).

Some flexibility will be required as you may be asked to cover from time to time.

DPSS340 - Personal Assistant - 5 hrs per week - Rhyd-Y-Fro

I’m a lady in my 30s living in quite a rural area of Pontardawe. My home is approximately 5 miles from Pontardawe cross and is accessed via a country lane. I live with my mum, pet dogs and cats. I am a wheelchair user when out and about. I have epilepsy and experience seizures daily. I am a classically trained singer and I love music, nature, photography art and attending choirs and social groups. I also help to run a social group. I am also a Welsh speaker.

CAR DRIVER IS ESSENTIAL

5 hours per week – possibly increasing to more.

Hours to be used in the evenings or on the weekends as 2.5 hours each. Days and times flexible.
