Collect Your BooksThey’ll be ready for you to collect in a new paper carrier bag. All items borrowed from our libraries will have been quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours and will be safe to use. Service opening hours: Neath, Pontardawe & Port Talbot: Monday to Friday 10am - 12:30 and 1:30 - 4:00; Saturday 10am – 12:30. Glynneath: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Friday 10am-12 and 2pm-4; Saturday 10am-12 Cwmavon: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 10am-12 and 2pm-4; Saturday 10am-12 Baglan: Monday and Thursday 10am-12 and 2pm-4; Tuesday 2pm-4, Friday 2pm-4, Saturday 10am-12. Closed Wednesdays. Sandfields: Monday to Friday 10am-12, 2pm-4, Saturdays 10am-12 Skewen: Monday to Friday 10am-12, 2pm-4. Saturdays 10am-12 Closed Wednesdays DVDs and CDs cannot be borrowed at the present time but library members can borrow up to 10 items (if you require more than please ask a member of staff when you call). The loan period has been extended to 6 weeks. Booking a time slot is essential in order that the library service can maintain social distancing for customers. If you are unable to pick up your books at your allotted time or miss your slot, please contact the library by phone or email and an alternative time slot will be allocated. Wednesdays closed. What can I borrow? Books including hardback, paperback and large print titles together with spoken word will be available to borrow. Can I borrow DVDs and CDs? Not at the present time. How many books can I borrow at a time? You can borrow up to 10 items, if you require more than please ask a member of staff when you call How long can I keep them for? You will be asked for your preference when you phone or email and while staff will do their utmost to accommodate your choice we will only be able to select books that are currently available in the library. Can I reserve books? No, not at present. For safety reasons, we have reduced circulating books around libraries for the immediate future, so we will not be able to take requests at present. If I requested a book before the libraries closed, will I still be able to collect it? Possibly. If the book was delivered to the library before it closed you may still be able to call and collect it. Please phone or email the library and staff will be able to advise you further What if I miss my time slot? Will I be fined if I cannot return my books when they are due back? No. There will be no fines during this period. Can I return books to a different library? Yes. You can return your books to any Neath Port Talbot Library. Can I ask someone else to collect books for me? Yes. If you are unable to visit, someone else can collect books on your behalf. Please make sure they are able to collect during your time slot and that they have your Library card or ID. I want to use a computer/wifi. Are you providing internet access?
