Strategic School Business Manager

The Headteacher and governors are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Strategic School Business Manager to commence on 1st September 2025.
We wish to appoint an ambitious, innovative and dedicated strategist with technical expertise who is committed to being a full-time member of the Senior Leadership Team, leading in support services, helping to resolve problems, promoting effective management and strategic leadership.
You will be expected to share the vision and values of Dwr y Felin School in providing the best provision for our young people and demonstrate the ability to:
• Work with the senior leadership team and governing body to provide advice, guidance and strategic leadership that promotes the school’s aims
• Act as the key lead to ensure all HR policies and procedures are up to date and adopted by the governing body and, lead and develop HR strategy and operations within school on a daily basis
• undertake strategic financial planning and provide advice to the headteacher, leadership team and governors on the most effective use of resources
• ensure all business and financial management functions operate in accordance with statutory regulations
• achieve best value in all areas of expenditure by testing the market, negotiating and monitoring contracts and services
• promote to the highest standards within the associate and support staff team and strategically ensure the most effective use of resources in support of the school's learning objectives
• maximise income generation from external sources.
