- Armistice Day – Managed by Local Royal British Legion Offices
- Battle of Britain Celebration – Managed by RAFA Association
- Freedom Marches – held intermittently every 3 – 5 years
Royal British Legion Service of Remembrance
Sunday 10th November 2019
The Royal British Legion is once again organising the Annual Remembrance Services in the County Borough. Civic Dignitaries will be joining the parades in Port Talbot and Neath.
The Parade will leave the Grand Hotel at 10.15 am and proceed to the Cenotaph in the Memorial Park, Taibach, for a Remembrance Service and Wreath Laying, followed by the Salute and March Past which will take place outside of the Grand Hotel.
The Salute and March Past will be held outside the Town Council Offices (along side the Gwyn Hall) at 10.45 am, there will then be a Remembrance Service at St David’s Church at 11.00 am. Following the Service there will be a Parade to the Memorial Gates at the entrance to the Gnoll Grounds for the Laying of Wreaths.
There will be a Service at St Peter’s church at 9.30am, followed by a walk to the War Memorial for the Laying of Wreaths.
