I am an older lady living in Margam Village.  My entire work life background was nursing but now I need sincere, sensitive and discreet support to enable me to enjoy quality of life.

I have a quiet friendly personality, and enjoy company, however, I am happy with my own company at times as long as I am aware that the PA is within the house. I like to socialise and spend time with my family, though since the pandemic I prefer to stay at home.

I occasionally need to be taken for health or other appointments in my car.

I am mobile and love to potter in my house however, my eyesight is poor. I struggle with my short term memory and I get breathless at times.

  • FEMALE PA required to support with some personal care such as washing, dressing and getting up from bed although I prefer to be as independent as possible.
  • Some light domestic support, such as keeping my home clean and tidy, washing & ironing, making beds, shopping and preparing of meals.
  • I like my PA’s to sit and have meals with me (the PA does not have to have the same food as me though).
  • Help with medication (from a carousel which contains the right dose and opens at required time)
  • And day to day activities spending time socialising with me and keeping me company at home.
  • PA will be insured to use the family car whilst living in, to go shopping and take me to any necessary appointments or social activities.

Rate of Pay:

£801.15 per live-in week (nights are usually undisturbed).

This works out as £ 114.45 per live-in day.

The PA will have use of their own room with a TV/DVD player. All inclusive of food, telephone, broadband and use of car and washing machine.

Person Type

  • Female PA due to personal care
  • Flexible and has an ability to provide empathy of real understanding
  • Honesty, reliability. patience and loyalty are paramount
  • With an understanding of true person-centred care
  • Good communicator with both client and family
  • Able to prepare simple meals using fresh ingredients
  • Driver preferred – PA will be insured to use the family car whilst living in.
  • Non-smoker

Previous experience is preferred but not essential as I am looking for a person with the above qualities.

Currently looking for 1 or 2 FEMALE PA’s to provide live in care support on a rota basis, from 6 or 7 days, up to 14 days a month (usually consecutively).

Dates are agreed in advance and will be on a rota.

A live-in day is from the agreed start time  to the same time next day . Usually the start time is between 12 noon and 2pm. Nights are usually undisturbed. Breaks are usually taken as two separate one hour breaks, fitting in around client’s needs. We sometimes need to be flexible as some of our PA’s have long train journeys.
