Description

I am lady in my 50s living in the Neath area. I would say that my hobbies include crafting, gardening, baking and cooking. I enjoy spending time outside and I love going for walks in the countryside and along the beach front. I also enjoy watching films but particularly enjoy watching films that are funny or have a plot twist – I am not a huge fan of horror films.

I am looking for a PA to support me both in the community and within my home in the near future.

Purpose

  • Support with local shopping to pick up smaller items such as birthday cards, gifts, clothes.
  • Support me with going to place such as Swansea city centre.
  • Support when accessing the community and groups as I can get anxious.
  • Accompanying me to any appointments such as the hospital, dentist etc.
  • Support when individuals such as plumbers, gas engineers undertake work in my home as I can get anxious around this.
  • In the future I may need support in my own home with light domestic and support with gardening.

Person Type

A person who:

  • Someone who likes dogs.
  • Flexible and reliable.
  • Has good availability.
  • Someone who likes a laugh and fun.
  • Someone who doesn’t take life too seriously.
  • Someone who is creative and thinks outside the box.
  • Has experience of supporting someone with PTSD or is willing to learn how best to support me.

Hours

4.5 hours - 1.5 hours per day over three days. Looking for a PA with a degree of flexibility as hours may be banked to attend medical appointments. The hours would usually be worked over three days, split between two shifts during the week Mon-Thurs and the other shift on the weekend. This can be discussed further at interview and there may be opportunity for up to 10 hours in the future.

This post may require a DBS check (the cost of which will be met by NPTCBC). If this post requires you to work with children then it is compulsory for you to have a DBS check prior to commencement.

If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.

Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.

You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.

You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
