Come and have some fun this summer at Margam Country Park
04 August 2017
Margam Country Park is the place to be this summer with four weeks filled with action packed activities for all ages.
The week commencing 7th August, there will be a Pirate Fun Day on the Monday featuring Captain Jimmy and the 9ft tall Pirate Barber, ‘Cut Throat’, where he will be offering haircuts and juggling knives!
On the Tuesday there is a craft session at the castle where children will get the opportunity to learn how to make funky tealight holders for the home or the garden and archery with the Margam Archers for those of you who are not so creative.
Cabinet Member for Education, Skills and Culture, Cllr Peter Rees said, “I am delighted to see that Margam Park has once again created a wide range of activities for visitors including August’s bank holiday event - it certainly seems like there is something to cover everyone’s interests. We look forward to it being another great season for the Park”.
The month’s activities includes Build a Dinosaur with Zoolab – where ZooLab bring their own animals, from bearded dragons to tarantulas, hissing cockroaches and frogs, to provide some hands-on evolutionary clues as you get to see, feel and touch evolutionary changes and adaptations at first hand.
Free Castle tours about Myths and Legends of the park, Get Crafty with Wildlife Day, Medieval themed fun day, stand up paddle boarding sessions, archery, jewellery making sessions for beginners, a dolls house exhibition, co-operative games day and lots more will be going on at the park over the school holidays.
The summer activities rounds off with our bank holiday fun day ‘Dragons’ - Myths and Legends, where you will be entertained through a spectacular dragons quest.
