Margam Country Park’s Message of Thanks for Visitors
03 September 2020
Staff at Neath Port Talbot’s historic Margam Country Park would like to send a message of thanks to their visitors for the overwhelming support received since re-opening to the public in July, following the national lockdown.
As a message of thanks and a gesture of good will, the park has decided not to increase the cost of its annual Park Membership this year.
The decision has been made in the hope it will make the park available to as many people as possible, following what has been a difficult year for many.
Rather than going ahead with the annual price increase, this year, the price of the Park Membership will remain at £35 for all Neath Port Talbot residents. This reduced price will be available for visitors to take advantage of until 31st March 2021.
Cllr Rob Jones, the Leader of Neath Port Talbot Council, said: “We are glad to be able to keep the price of Annual Membership to this beautiful attraction at its current level as clearly the financial implications of the Covid-19 pandemic have been widespread.”
The year-long membership is a great way to enjoy the park for those who visit regularly. As part of the membership parking charges will be covered for a single car and valid for one calendar year from the date of purchase.
There is something for everyone at Margam Country Park. Visitors are able to take in the surroundings with a relaxing walk, or get their adrenaline boost by taking part in activities such as mountain biking.
Members will also receive fantastic discounts from various attractions within the park.
What better way to enjoy and make the most of the wonderful Park throughout the seasons, weekends and holidays?
Cllr Peter Rees, Neath Port Talbot Council’s Cabinet Member for Education, Skills and Culture, said: “We’d like to thank all visitors for following the safety measures and respecting Welsh Government guidelines during their time at the park.”
