Covid-19 - Taibach Rugby Club, Port Talbot
23 October 2020
Neath Port Talbot Council’s Test, Trace and Protect (TTP) Service want people to be aware it is currently in contact with several members of the public who have attended Taibach Rugby Club who are either unwell, awaiting test results or have tested positive for coronavirus.
The service is also in contact with several members of staff at the club, in Commercial Road, Taibach, who are also either unwell, awaiting the result of tests or who have tested positive for the virus.
Onset dates need official confirmation but the service is looking at a period between the 11th and 13th of October 2020, when some staff and members of the public were unwell.
Those who may have visited the club should be mindful of the symptoms of Covid-19.
If they suspect they have symptoms (the main coronavirus symptoms are loss of smell or taste, a new and continuous cough and/or a high temperature) they should get a test.
Anyone with coronavirus symptoms (however mild) must remain at home and get a test. Their household members must also stay at home as doing this will help prevent the spread of the virus to family, friends, colleagues and the wider community and will also help protect the NHS.

It is stressed only those with symptoms should seek and book a test.
